Clean Vehicle Credit
Maximum credit amount is up to $7,500
Inflation Reduction Act of 2022 expands the credits available to incentivize the purchase of clean vehicles placed in service after Dec 31, 2022 through Dec 31, 2032.
Pre-Owned Clean vehicles Credit
Inflation Reduction Act of 2022 also allows a credit for pre-owned clean vehicles purchased in 2023 through 2032. The following requirements must be met to qualify.
- Vehicle must be purchased for use (not for resale).
- Vehicle must be purchased from a dealership.
- Vehicle model at least two years older than the year the vehicle was acquired.
- Sale price may not exceed $25,000.
